Cielo House provides various levels of care to meet the specific needs of our clients. Not every client needs the same kind of treatment, and we work with you to determine what program best fits your needs. The following is a brief description of the various treatment programs we offer.
Full Day Program (PHP)
This program is commonly referred to as a PHP, or Partial Hospitalization Program. This is the most structured and focused level of care. Clients participating in the Day Treatment program come to Cielo House 5 Full days per week, Monday through Friday. The typical full day begins at 12 PM and ends at 7:30 PM. During this time clients have 2 supervised meals (with an optional 3rd meal) and 1 afternoon snack, as well as 2 therapy groups. With weekly individual/family therapy, nutritional counseling, Psychiatric evaluation and medication management included at no extra cost, this program allows you to experience the full array of group experiences, and individualized services. The PHP level of care can serve as a transition down from an inpatient program or can serve as a step up from less intensive treatment that can help prevent the need for inpatient care.
Half Day Program (IOP)
This program is commonly referred to as an IOP, or Intensive Outpatient Program. This program can be and adjunct or an alternative to traditional outpatient services, when you need extra support more than once-a-week outpatient therapy. Clients who participate in the Intensive Outpatient Program come to Cielo House anywhere from 3 to 5 Half days per week, Monday through Friday. This program offers two schedule options, Daytime and Evening. The Daytime IOP begins at 12 PM and ends at 3:30PM. The typical Evening IOP begins at 4:30PM and ends at 7:30 PM. Clients can choose Daytime or Evening, or a combination of the two. This “mix-and-match“ schedule approach allows clients to receive the care they need in the most convenient way possible. This program also includes weekly individual/family therapy and nutritional counseling if needed at no additional cost.
Outpatient Program
We offer traditional weekly outpatient treatment services for Eating Disorders. This could mean working with a therapist doing individual Psychotherapy, or working with a dietitian for nutritional counseling. You could also combine any of these services to create your own mini-program to meet your specific needs. Many graduates of our other programs will stay on to do outpatient treatment at Cielo House. It gives them a chance to stay connected to their fellow participants and providers, and gives us the chance to continue to watch them grow as a person.
